10am: Sarah McIntyre

Children’s book author and illustrator of such titles as Jampires, Dinosaur Police and Jinks & O’Hare: Funfair Repair. (All ages, great for little ones.)  http://www.jabberworks.co.uk/

1pm: Emma Newman

Emma Newman runs a workshop on ‘Fear and Writing’, that lets the audience identify their own fears and start writing.  Ideal for aspiring authors. (16+) http://www.enewman.co.uk/

2.30pm: Simon Guerrier & Dr. Marek Kukula

Simon and Marek (Public Astronomer at the Royal Observatory) wrote The Scientific Secrets of Doctor Who.  (All ages who watch Doctor Who.)  http://0tralala.blogspot.co.uk/

4pm: Shagufta K

A Bristolian poet and performer with a unique voice, Shagufta’s debut poetry collection will be out this year.  (12+, some themes may be unsuitable for younger children.)  http://www.shaguftakiqbal.com/

5.30pm: Martyn Waites

Crime author Martyn Waites also writes as Tania Carver.  He’ll be talking about his thrillers and his former life as an actor. (18+) http://www.martynwaites.com/

7pm: Steven Moffat

The creator of Sherlock and the showrunner of Doctor Who talks about his career in TV, and what he’s doing next.  (All ages.)

The Festival will be in its own tent at the Cricket Club, with one entrance fee (£6) for the whole day.  Books for the authors to sign and sell will be provided by Pea Green Boat Books.
